Thanksgiving for Deliverance
To the chief
Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who spake unto the Lord
the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of
all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said,
1 I will love
thee, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my
rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will
trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call
upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine
enemies.
4 The sorrows of
death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5 The sorrows of
hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6 In my distress
I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his
temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7 Then the earth

kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Habakkuk's Prayer
A prayer of
Habak'kuk the prophet upon Shigi-o'noth. O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and
was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of
the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
God came from
Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens,
and the earth was full of his praise. And his brightness was as the light; he
had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power. Before
him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet. He stood,
and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the
everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are
everlasting. I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the
land of Mid'i-an did tremble. Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? Was

As the prophets and saints of old we must make it our business always to pray. our way is always brighter while in communication with our heavenly Father with whom we have to do. May He grant us mercy, through Christ Jesus our Lord, when we fail to pray. Amen.

The Things That Defile
Then came
together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from
Jerusalem. And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that
is to say, with unwashen hands, they found fault. For the Pharisees, and all
the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of
the elders. And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not.
And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the
washing of cups, and pots, brazen vessels, and of tables. Then the Pharisees
and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of
the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? He answered and said unto them,
Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people
honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do
they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying
aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of
pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
And he said unto
them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own
tradition. For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth
father or mother, let him die the death: but ye say, If a man shall say to his
father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou
mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do
aught for his father or his mother; making the word of God of none effect
through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do
ye.
Father, we thank you for giving us knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in the beloved. Let thy word continue to fill our heart, so that out of it may issue the things that are of thee. Let that which we do, think, and say, be done to your honor, praise, and glory; and may this be done in Jesus name. Amen

God So Loved the World
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the
world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He
that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned
already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of
God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men
loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one
that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds
should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds
may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:16-21Prayer:
The gift of salvation Jesus Christ (eternal life) was freely given to us when we were dead in our sin and trespasses. We could not and did not call upon God for this most precious of gifts. God knew our condition, saw our need and sent His Son to redeem us. As such the only thing we ought to say to this is, thank you Lord for you mercy love and compassion, Amen.

Beware lest any
man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all
the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the
head of all principality and power: in whom also ye are circumcised with the
circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the
flesh by the circumcision of Christ: buried with him in baptism, wherein also
ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath
raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having
forgiven you all trespasses; blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that
was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing
it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show
of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Let
no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday,
or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come;
but the body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary
humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath
not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding the Head, from
which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit
together, increaseth with the increase of God. Wherefore if ye be dead with
Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are
ye subject to ordinances, (touch not; taste not; handle not; which all are to
perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? which
things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and
neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

The Birth of
Jesus
And it came to
pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all
the world should be taxed. (And this
taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his
own city. And Joseph also went up from
Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which
is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife,
being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days
were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling
clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the
inn.
The Shepherds and
the Angels
And there were in the same country shepherds
abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon
them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore
afraid. And the angel said unto them,
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to
all people. For unto you is born this
day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall
find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a
multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the
highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And it came to
pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said
one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is
come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and
Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was
told them concerning this child. And all
they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the
shepherds. But Mary kept all these
things, and pondered them in her heart.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the
things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
The Presentation
of Jesus in the Temple
And when eight days were accomplished for the
circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the
angel before he was conceived in the womb.
And when the days
of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they
brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (as it is written in the law of the Lord,
Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) and to offer a sacrifice according to that
which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young
pigeons. And, behold, there was a man in
Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting
for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy
Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple:
and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom
of the law, then took he him up in his
arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in
peace,according to thy word: for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou
hast prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles,
and the glory of thy people Israel.
And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those
things which were spoken of him. And
Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set
for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be
spoken against; (yea, a sword shall
pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be
revealed.
And there was one
Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a
great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; and she was a widow of about fourscore and
four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings
and prayers night and day. And she
coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to
all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
The Return to
Nazareth
And when they had
performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into
Galilee, to their own city Nazareth. And
the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace
of God was upon him.
The Boy Jesus in
the Temple
Now his parents
went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went
up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus
tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. But they, supposing him to have been in the
company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and
acquaintance. And when they found him
not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days
they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing
them, and asking them questions. And all
that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and
his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy
father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I
must be about my Father’s business? And
they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. And he went down with them, and came to
Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in
her heart.
And
Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, may your love and grace which are beyond our understanding, continue to fill our hearts and keep our minds through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thanks, Lord, for the gift of Life. Amen.

He saved us not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and by the renewing of the Holy Ghost, which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that, being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5-7
The Great and
Might God, our Father, has condescended to us in order to meet our needs. He
has renewed and redeemed us whose righteousness are like filthy rags before him.
Our God, the Mighty and Terrible God, has made us acceptable in the beloved and
has granted us the privilege of being heirs of life eternal.
Our Father hallowed be thy name. Amen.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. God our Father
has given us the victory in Christ Jesus. We have been made conquerors by the
atoning blood of our Saviour. We are jubilant in our rejoicing, giving thanks
to the Father through Christ our Lord, for the love mercy and compassion he has
shed on us so abundantly.
Father
we thank you for that redemption of our soul through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, which owed him a hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. Matthew 18:21-35
The question we
are forced to consider comes from the Psalm, "who shall stand in
his holy place?" The hands and heart we lift up to Christ must
be clean and pure. If they are tainted with bitterness we will not be able to
enter into his holy presence. Cleanse your heart by trusting God at his word. As many times as we are offended we ought to
forgive and let the peace of Christ rule in our heart.
Father,
forgive us our offences in the very same manner that we forgive those that
offend us. With all thanks to Jesus Christ, Amen.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. "For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: but because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Even though the believer’s mortal body shall be cut off from the land of the living, his/her soul is eternally saved through the atoning death of Christ our Lord. All honor praise and glory be to God our Saviour. Amen.

Have you ever followed after the Lord crying for his mercy? As can be seen is His care for us there is no shame in doing so, only love and genuine compassion. Lord Jesus, grant us the courage to cry for thy mercy. Amen.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:1-6"
The confession of the believer is a walk of faith and in that walk the life of Jesus Christ our Lord is lived daily. Thus the life which the believer lives is one of faith in the Son of God, who loved him/her. If this is not your confession then your walk is vain. The believer does everything to the glory of God, through Christ, affirming that he/she can do nothing without the Lord. We are called to walk by Faith, let us do so boldly knowing that he who hath promised is able “able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.“ To God be the Glory. Amen.

We are not the children of wrath. Our Lord has called into his rest. We must therefore show forth with all longsuffering the fruit of the Spirit to those that are without. My God's love and peace reign in all of us through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Prayer:
My hope O Lord is in thee, give me the wisdom needed so that I do not seek to enhance or diminish Thy word; give me understanding so that all that I do, think, and say may be done to your praise, honor, and glory. I submit this my prayer with thanks to Thee in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
