Daily Meditation
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Hymn
“Upon the harp will I praise Thee, O God my God.” Psalm 43:4
Awake, my soul! to sound His praise,
Awake my harp to sing;
Join, all my pow’rs the song to raise,
And morning incense bring.
Among the people of his care,
And thro’ the nations round,
Glad sons of praise will I prepare,
And there his name resound.
Be Thou exalted, O my God!
Above the starry train;
Diffuse Thy heav’nly grace abroad,
And teach the world Thy reign.
So shall Thy chosen sons rejoice,
And throng Thy courts above;
While sinners hear Thy pard’ning voice,
And taste redeeming love.
Consolation
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. Psalm 19:7-9
Exhortation
Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge. For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat. Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good. Job 34: 2-4

Proverbs
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. Proverbs 1: 5-6
Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD. Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. Isaiah 31:1-3; Psalm 107:43; Hosea 14:9; l Timothy 1:17
To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. Romans 16:27
