“…let us reason together,”

Manner of Life
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Daily Meditation
“…let us reason together,”
Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Job 13:18; Isaiah 54:17; Isaiah 1:18

Hymn
“Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise Him in the heights.” Psalm 148:1
Praise the Lord of Heaven, praise Him in the height;
Praise Him, all ye angels, praise Him, stars of light;
Praise Him, skies, and waters which above the skies,
When His Word commanded, stablished did arise.

Praise the Lord, ye fountains of the deeps and seas,
Rocks and hills and mountains, cedars and all trees;
Praise Him, clouds and vapors, snow and hail and fire,
Stormy wind fulfilling only His desire.

Praise Him, fowls and cattle, princes and all kings;
Praise Him, men and maidens, all created things;
For the Name of God is excellent alone;
On the earth His footstool, over Heav’n His throne.

Consolation
And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee. By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land. Exodus 23:28-30

Exhortation
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; Titus 2:1-3

Today’s Reading: Job 11, 12, 13, 14

Proverbs
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. Proverbs 1: 5-6 As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise. Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him. Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation? Proverbs 27:21-24

Weekly Verse:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
