"Because he hath poured out his soul unto death:"

Manner of Life
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Daily Meditation
"Because he hath poured out his soul unto death:"
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:11-13

Hymn
"The Name that is above every name." Philippians 2:9
There’s no other name like Jesus,
’Tis the dearest name we know,
’Tis the angel’s joy in Heaven,
’Tis the Christian’s joy below.

Chorus
Sweet name (sweet name), dear name (dear name),
There’s no other name like Jesus,
Sweet name (sweet name), dear name (dear name),
There’s no other name like Jesus.

There’s no other name like Jesus,
When the heart with grief is sad,
There’s no other name like Jesus
When the heart is free and glad.

’Tis the hope that I shall see Him
When in glory He appears,
’Tis the hope to hear His welcome
That my fainting spirit cheers.

If He wills that I should labor
In His vineyard day by day,
Then ’tis well if only Jesus
Blesses all I do or say.

If he wills that death’s cold finger
Touch my feeble, mortal clay,
Then ’tis well if only Jesus
Is my dying trust and stay.

Consolation
And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS. And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left. And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors. Mark 15:26-28

Exhortation
I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. Psalm 66:15-17

Proverbs
Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:28,29

Weekly Verse:
Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street. Lamentations 2:19

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

His Service, Face, Name
"His servants shall serve Him: and they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their forehead" Revelation 22:3-4

Three choice blessings will be ours in the gloryland.

"His servants shall serve him." No other lords shall oppress us, no other service shall distress us. We shall serve Jesus always, perfectly, without weariness, and without error. This is heaven to a saint: in all things to serve the LORD Christ and to be owned by Him as His servant is our soul's high ambition for eternity.

"And they shall see his face." This makes the service delightful: indeed, it is the present reward of service. We shall know our LORD, for we shall see Him as He is. To see the face of Jesus is the utmost favor that the most faithful servant of the LORD can ask. What more could Moses ask than-"Let me see thy face?"

"And his name shall be in their foreheads." They gaze upon their LORD till His name is photographed upon their brows. They are acknowledged by Him, and they acknowledge Him. The secret mark of inward grace develops into the public sign-manual of confessed relationship.O LORD, give us these three things in their beginnings here that we may possess them in their fullness in Thine own abode of bliss! C. H. Spurgeon

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
