The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. Lamentations 3:24; Psalm 33:18; Deuteronomy 32:9

Consolation
Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Job 22:25-27

Exhortation
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. Psalm 73:25-27
