Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God. Open rebuke is better than secret love. It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. I Pray Thee
Lord we live in an age where the recipients of gifts are the ones who often determine what the gift should or will be, by so doing we have completely lost what it means to give and to receive. So it is with this in mind gracious Father, that I thank you for knowing us and our need better than we know ourselves. Lord in looking at what is being past off as gift giving I thank you with a joyful heart for not letting us choose the most precious gift that was ever given to man. I thank you, Heavenly Father, for Jesus Christ our Lord Amen.
