Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1
Daily Meditation
“The just LORD is in the midst thereof;”
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. … he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame. Psalm 3:4; 1 Peter 3:12; Zephaniah 3:5
Hymn
“Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Jesus, my Lord, to Thee I cry;
Unless Thou help me I must die;
Oh, bring Thy free salvation nigh,
And take me as I am.
Chorus
And take me as I am,
And take me as I am,
My only plea—Christ died for me!
Oh, take me as I am.
Helpless I am, and full of guilt;
But yet for me Thy blood was spilt,
And Thou canst make me what Thou wilt,
And take me as I am.
No preparation can I make,
My best resolves I only break,
Yet save me for Thine own Name’s sake,
And take me as I am.
Behold me, Savior, at Thy feet,
Deal with me as Thou seest meet;
Thy work begin, Thy work complete,
And take me as I am.
Consolation
Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep departed from mine eyes. Thus have I been twenty years in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and thou hast changed my wages ten times. Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight. Genesis 31:40-42
Exhortation
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136:1-3

Proverbs
Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth. The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD. Proverbs 19:1-3
Weekly Verse:
Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. Job 14:1
I Pray Thee
