“Hearken diligently unto me,”
The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. Psalm 105:40; Isaiah 55:2; Luke 12:33

Hearken to the solemn voice, the awful midnight cry;

Consolation
Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there. Exhortation
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Proverbs
