“I will sing praises unto thy name.”

Manner of Life
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Daily Meditation
“I will sing praises unto thy name.”
I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Daniel 2:23; 2 Samuel 22:50; Psalm 118:21; Psalm 145:1

Hymn
“Unto Thy Name give glory, for Thy mercy.” Psalm 115:1
It was down at the feet of Jesus,
O the happy, happy day!
That my soul found peace in believing,
And my sins were washed away.

Chorus
Let me tell the old, old story
Of His grace so full and free;
For I feel like giving Him the glory
For His wondrous love to me.

It was down at the feet of Jesus,
Where I found such perfect rest,
Where the light first dawned on my spirit,
And my soul was truly blest.

It was down at the feet of Jesus,
Where I brought my guilt and sin,
That he cancelled all my transgressions
And salvation entered in.

Consolation
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. Galatians 2:16Psalm 86:7 Psalm 119:50

Exhortation
This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Psalm 24:6-8

Proverbs
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. Proverbs 1: 5-6 Because they that give themselves to drinking, and that club together shall be consumed; and drowsiness shall be clothed with rags. Hearken to thy father, that beget thee: and despise not thy mother when she is old. Buy truth, and do not sell wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. The father of the just rejoiceth greatly: he that hath begotten a wise son, shall have joy in him. Let thy father, and thy mother be joyful, and let her rejoice that bore thee. Proverbs 23:21-25

For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. Psalm 38:15
