“The pastors also transgressed against me…”
The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. Jeremiah 2:8; Isaiah 24:5; Proverbs 10:2

Savior, and can it be
That Thou should’st dwell with me?
From Thy high and lofty throne,
Throne of everlasting bliss,
Will Thy majesty stoop down

Consolation
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not…. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me. And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it. Exhortation
