“The pastors also transgressed against me…”

Manner of Life
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Daily Meditation
“The pastors also transgressed against me…”
The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. Jeremiah 2:8; Isaiah 24:5; Proverbs 10:2

Hymn
“I am not worthy that Thou shouldest enter under my roof.” Luke 7:6
Savior, and can it be
That Thou should’st dwell with me?
From Thy high and lofty throne,
Throne of everlasting bliss,
Will Thy majesty stoop down
To so mean a house as this?

I am not worthy, Lord,
So foul, so self-abhorred,
Thee, my God, to entertain
In this poor polluted heart:
I am a frail sinful man!
All my nature cries, Depart!

Yet come, Thou heav’nly Guest,
And purify my breast;
Come, Thou great and glorious King,
While before Thy cross I bow;
With Thyself salvation bring,
Cleanse the house by entering now.

Consolation
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not…. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me. And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it. Jeremiah 33:3, 8, 9

Exhortation
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:35-37

Read The Bible In A Year
Today’s Reading: Eze. 18, 19, 20

Proverbs
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Proverbs 8:32-34

Weekly Verse:
And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you. Deuteronomy 26:11

I Pray Thee
Hear us O Lord when we call. Help us this day to obey thy calling and turn from our wicked ways. In Jesus name we call, Amen.
