Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1
Daily Meditation
"These things understood not his disciples at the first:"
The Son of man goeth as it is written of him… Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. …The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day. …weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him. Matthew 26:24; Psalm 41:9; Luke 9:22; Luke 23:28; John 12:16
Consolation
The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? …the King of glory …Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle…The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. John 12:34; Psalm 24:7-10
Exhortation
Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:19-21

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8
May the Lord add his blessings to the reading and hearing of His Word. This we ask with thanksgiving in Jesus name, Amen
