Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1
Daily Meditation
“Ye have sold yourselves for nought;”
O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD. For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money. This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. Jeremiah 22:29; Isaiah 52:3; Psalm 118:23
Hymn
“His Word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones.” Jeremiah 20:9
God’s Word is like a flaming sword,
A wedge that cleaves the stone;
Keen as a fire, so burns His Word,
And pierces flesh and bone.
Let it go forth o’er all the earth
To cleanse our hearts within,
To show God’s power in Satan’s hour
And break the might of sin.
God’s Word, a wondrous guiding star,
On pilgrim hearts does rise,
Leads those to God who dwell afar,
And makes the simple wise.
Let not its light e’er sink in night,
But in each spirit shine,
That none may miss Heaven’s final bliss,
Led by God’s light divine.
Consolation
The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. Isaiah 14:24-26
Exhortation
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes. With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. Psalm 119:11-13

Proverbs
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Proverbs 1:5-8
Weekly Verse:
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Galatians 6:1
I Pray Thee
