Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1
Daily Meditation
“The promises of God”
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. John 7:38; 2 Corinthians 1:20; Isaiah 28:16
Hymn
“My words will never pass away.” Matthew 24:35
Lord, Thy Word abideth,
And our footsteps guideth;
Who its truth believeth
Light and joy receiveth.
When our foes are near us,
Then Thy Word doth cheer us,
Word of consolation,
Message of salvation.
When the storms are o’er us,
And dark clouds before us,
Then its light directeth,
And our way protecteth.
Who can tell the pleasure,
Who recount the treasure,
By Thy Word imparted
To the simple hearted?
Word of mercy, giving
Succor to the living;
Word of life, supplying
Comfort to the dying!
O that we, discerning,
Its most holy learning,
Lord, may love and fear Thee,
Evermore be near Thee!
Consolation
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. Psalm 19:7-9
Exhortation
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:19-21

Proverbs
Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. Proverbs 27:10-12
Weekly Verse:
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Proverbs 2:7, 8
