“Brethren, ye have been called…”

Manner of Life
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Daily Meditation
“Brethren, ye have been called…”
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Psalm 2:11; Psalm 100:2; Galatians 5:13

Hymn
“Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the Name of the Lord.” Psalm 113:1
Servants of God, in joyful lays,
Sing ye the Lord Jehovah’s praise;
His glorious Name let all adore,
From age to age, forevermore.

Blest be that Name, supremely blest,
From the sun’s rising to its rest;
Above the heav’ns His pow’r is known,
Through all the earth His goodness shown.

Who is like God? so great, so high,
He bows Himself to view the sky;
And yet, with condescending grace,
Looks down upon the human race.

He hears the uncomplaining moan
Of those who sit and weep alone;
He lifts the mourner from the dust;
In Him the poor may safely trust.

O then, aloud, in joyful lays,
Sing to the Lord Jehovah’s praise;
His saving Name let all adore,
From age to age, forevermore.

Consolation
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Galatians 5:1-3

Exhortation
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Romans 6:17-19

Proverbs
Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. Proverbs 7:25-27

Weekly Verse:
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1Thessalonians 5:18 6

I Pray Thee
Gracious Father, help us to serve thee in spirit and truth, with reverence and fear, so all that we do may be done to your honor praise and glory, in Jesus name, Amen.
