“Worship him…”

Manner of Life
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Daily Meditation
“Worship him…”
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. Psalm 62:1; Psalm 97:7; 1 Kings 8:61

Hymn
“I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength.” Psalm 18:1
O God, my strength and fortitude
In truth I will love Thee;
Thou art my castle and defense
In my necessity.

When I, beset with pain and grief,
Prayed to my God for grace;
Forthwith my God heard my complaint,
Out of His holy place.

The Lord descended from above,
And bowed the heavens high,
And underneath His feet He cast
The darkness of the sky.

On cherub and on cherubim
Full royally He rode;
And on the wings of all the winds
Came flying all abroad.

He brought me forth in open place,
That so I might be free;
And kept me safe, because He had
A favor unto me.

Unspotted are the ways of God,
His Word is truly tried;
He is a sure defense to such
As in His ways abide.

Consolation
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Psalm 20:6-8

Exhortation
He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want. Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips. Proverbs 22:16-18

Proverbs
Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. Proverbs 7:4-10

Weekly Verse:
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. Luke 17:15, 16

I Pray Thee
Heavenly Father, we give thee thanks for the many blessings you have bestowed upon us. Strengthen our hearts and enable us to serve you as we ought. Not our will but thy will be done, Amen.
