“Thou hast rejected knowledge,”

Manner of Life
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Daily Meditation
“Thou hast rejected knowledge,”
And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts. Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Matthew 8:34; Job 21:14; Hosea 4:6

Hymn
“Even the winds and the sea obey Him! ” Matthew 8:27
Press onward, press onward, and trusting the Lord,
Remember the promise proclaimed in His Word;
He guideth the footsteps, directeth the way
Of all who confess Him, believe, and obey.

Chorus
Believe and obey, believe and obey;
The Master is calling, no longer delay:
The light of His mercy shines bright on the way
Of all who confess Him, believe, and obey.

Press onward, press onward, if you would secure
The rest of the faithful, abiding and sure;
The gift of salvation is offered today
To all who confess Him, believe, and obey.

Press onward, press onward, your courage renew;
The prize is before you, the crown is in view;
His love is so boundless, He’ll never say nay
To those who confess Him, believe, and obey.

Consolation
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 2 Timothy 2:19-21

Exhortation
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 1 Timothy 4:1-3

Proverbs
And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. Proverbs 5: 13-16

Weekly Verse:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

I Pray Thee
Heavenly Father, I thank thee for this thy word upon which you have allowed me to rest and hope. Direct my way, o Lord, so that in each passing moment I may live as I believe and let not my heart deceive me. I ask in Jesus name, Amen.
